It's me! Doing ... um ... well it's what models do, isn't it? Kind of. |
Halfway Through C!
Noo! Don't panic. I'm considerably more than halfway through C. I would estimate from looking at my volumes that I'm about ... ooh ... 5/6's of the way through. I just didn't think that 'Five Sixths Through C!' made such a good title. While I usually do a progress report halfway through each letter, I rather dilly-dallied a bit on this one, so it's arrived a bit late. Sorry about that. So ... what's new at Lexi?Lexicolatry T-Shirts!
Yes! You may indeed believe your widened eyes - I now have in my possession a stock of variously sized, very exclusive Lexicolatry t-shirts. And, if I may say so myself, I'm rather pleased with them - they're white, 100% cotton, and have my oh so very cute character on the left breast (designed by Bibi of Bibi Blog for the cartoon post, of course) and the four-letter LEXI logo on the back.I haven't quite yet decided how I will use the t-shirts - I will probably offer them as prizes in competitions and giveaways. And yes, the first t-shirt has been won - the annoyingly quick Mwncïod successfully cracked a code I wrote for my post on ciphers and is therefore now sitting proudly (and smugly) in his brand new Lexi tee, so well done him. If you'd like to get your hands on one of these very exclusive pieces of Lexi memorabilia, then keep reading and maybe (just maybe) there'll be another competition soon ...

It's that time of year again. The nominations for the Blog Awards have been open for a little while and will close on the 11th July 2014. Lexical Progress
As always, it's not just a matter of progressing through the dictionary itself, but also progressively improving the blog to make it more enjoyable for everyone that reads it. If you have any suggestions as to how I can make Lexicolatry better, do please let me know - what type of posts you like reading, whether you prefer it when it's funny, educational, long or short, and if there are any suggestions regarding its accessibility and presentation. Again, thank you to everyone that reads and everyone that takes the time to comment on posts. Your engagement is so much fun and I really appreciate it!
Cheers,
Eddie

I love the T-shirts and Bibi's illustration! And such a great idea to brand your blog!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your progress! I'm glad I've been reading Lexicolatry since A.
You're from way back in the day, Evi. When Lexicolatry becomes a global brand, you'll be able to say: "Oh yeah. I used to read it before it became cool."
DeleteThat's one sexy shirt, yeah!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Bibi, though I might be wearing mine a bit too much. The other day my daughter said to me: "Dad, are you ever going to wear any other shirt ever again ever?"
DeleteOh so cruel, those youngin's....
DeleteNice one Ed. Apologies I haven't dropped in in a while. I was in the shower. My new goal in life is to win one of those t-shirts.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
Good to see you, A.N - hope you're all clean and squeaky. Keep an eye out for the competitions and I'm sure you'll be wearing one very soon.
DeleteDo you do mens' boxers? I'd really like a pair of Lexi boxer shorts.
ReplyDeleteUmm ... no, not yet Dave. I'm not sure how I'd feel about putting my little character ... y'know ... in that position.
DeleteTrue. That'd be nuts.
